The Voice and Arms of God

Carolyn Elliott, in her brilliant book Awesome Your Life: the Artist’s Antidote to Suffering Genius, wrote, “I reflect, for example, that one of my most favorite poets, Rumi, gave his poems out wildly and freely.” In the same spirit, I offer—“wildly and freely”—the gift of this story, The Voice and Arms of God, which is the beginning of a myth.
