I am a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh’s MFA program. My work has appeared most recently in Twelve Stories, Akashic Books’ PITTSBURGH NOIR, and The Acentos Review, among others. I have won and been nominated for several awards, including a K. Leroy Irvis Fellowship, an EIDOS grant, and the Turow-Kinder Prize for Fiction. Over the years, I've taught writing, rhetoric, theology, history, and philosophy to high schoolers and undergraduates. I live with my family in Los Angeles.
